Supply Optimization Manager

Rosier Netherlands B.V., located in Sas van Gent (NL), is a producer of fertilizers, 100% subsidiary of the Belgian Rosier S.A. and is part of the fertilizer branch of the Austrian Borealis AG. The production plant has more than 100 employees specialized in the production of fertilizers, "tailored" for the customer. The products are sold through agricultural cooperatives and fertilizer trade around the world.


We are seeking for a full-time candidate for the position of:

Supply Optimization Manager 


Role Purpose

Supply Optimization is part of the S&OP (sales & operations planning) organisation within the business centre. It includes all planning tasks related to supply planning and production optimization for the whole Rosier product portfolio, including granulars and specialities.

The Supply Optimization Manager will ensure a feasible supply plan driven through interpreting differentiated planning strategies, satisfying customer requirements, optimizing stock levels and logistic costs. He/she will coordinate the production plan together with operations and have an overview on the raw material planning. He/she is the main interface from business side to operations, material handling, sales, logistics, warehouses, product management and customer service as soon it comes to planning & delivery scheduling topics for Rosier products. Balancing the different needs of the areas, he/she strives to achieve the optimum solution for the company in order to supply and produce the product in alignment with business unit targets and customer needs.

Quick and analytical thinking and fast decision making is an important part of this job.



  • Responsibility for alignment of production plan and delivery plan for dedicated product groups in order to maximize output, profit and customer satisfaction;
  • Responsible to plan formulas for production and packing in cooperation with operations and external service providers;
  • Definition and execution of delivery plans according to demand and product/ raw material availability;
  • Coordinates raw material planning & actively contributes to reduction of stored material amount and efficient      coordination of raw material ordering;
  • Develops high performing team by selecting, leading and motivating group that is skilled to meet current and future business needs;
  • Pursuance of deliveries according to plan;
  • Alignment on shifts & box planning with material handling;
  • Planning and monitoring of inventory levels in internal & external warehouses;
  • Establishing necessary reports to be able to monitor flows;
  • Participates in relevant meetings to secure alignment with business centre & S&OP team;
  • Participation in relevant projects;
  • Staff: 2 people.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience


  • University degree in business/economics;
  • Relevant experience & expertise in planning area (>2 years);
  • Fluent in English;
  • Knowledge of French is a benefit;
  • SAP & SAP-BI experience;
  • Standard IT office tools with excellent Excel command;
  • Strong analytical thinking & know-how of S&OP process.


  • Minimum 2 years of experience in equivalent position (planning, customer service, logistics);
  • Financial and business literacy;
  • Very good communication and facilitating skills and cultural awareness of the countries served;
  • Very good knowledge of logistic and commercial processes;
  • Good knowledge of Borealis working principles and procedures.

Other Information

The position reports functionally to the LAT S&OP manager and administratively to the CEO of Rosier
